It all began sometime in 1980, maybe 1981, when my Dad told me to make up my mind about what I was trying to accomplish in college. It took a little soul searching and a walk around the campus at Glassboro State College to find the radio, TV and film department was calling me...
Once I realized that not only was I interested in, I enjoyed it, and have been able to make a living at it for over 25 years.
I enjoy capturing elements that I like to savor, so I'll work hard at getting the right exposure of time and light of a sunset, or desperately grab the camera when the hummingbird flies into the back yard. I want to grab it, and have it for my own.
So the good news, is in the years since college, I've been able to apply my persistence in doing the job right, no matter what I'm applying myself to. Effective media production isn't loud, expensive, obtrusive or offensive. It's about keeping the moment close. |
